ABERDARON
Aberdaron has the look and feel of a quiet fishing village - but owes its importance to the fact that it was for centuries on of the most important resting-places for pilgrims on their way to Bardsey Island. There is an impressive 14th century building which used to be a pilgrim's hostel but is now a cafe and souvenir shop.

The church at Aberdaron is also of interest being a mixture of 12th and 16th century buildings and more recently the last ministry post of the poet R.S.Thomas who was inspired by some of the landscape and people in the area.

Aberdaron still retains much of the charm and peacefulness that the ancient pilgrims must have found and is as good a place as any in the Llyn Peninsula to have a relaxing break or a contemplative walk in the nearby countryside or the unspoilt beaches.
