Tyddyn Iolyn is peaceful and secluded in a unique setting. Breathtaking
views of Snowdonia and the glorious Lleyn coastline. Portmeirion and
steam railways close by. Six enchanting ensuite rooms including Four
Poster and Victorian style Canopied beds.
Chickens,
Ducks, Ponies, Rabbits and Cats. 'Taste Of Wales' cooking. Vegetarian
menu and special diets welcome. Organic food and fresh local produce
used wherever possible. Hearty breakfast included and 3 course evening
meal available bookable in advance or at breakfast. Freshly laid
eggs, home made muesli and jams. Charlotte Lowe assures you of a
very warm welcome at any time of year.
Choice
of Bedrooms
Bakehouse (ground floor, shower ensuite) The detached building
just opposite the farmhouse, originally a "ty yr nos"
(medieval house built overnight by local serfs). With four-poster
bed and an inglenook fire place supported by a huge stone lintel.
The heating is by an efficient gas flame-effect countryman stove.
Colour TV
Barn
(ground floor , shower ensuite) This was originally the creamery
in the early 1900s. The accommodation offers a canopied king-size
or twin bed with room for a single bed or cot if required. Colour
TV slate patio outside.
Hayloft
(bath with shower ensuite) Situated above the Barn. This cruk loft
with original, rather low wooden pegged oak beams and some of its
original wooden paneling , has a double and single bed, this is
ideal for use as or double room. Colour TV
Farmhouse
(shower ensuite) The first double bedroom with original oak beams
of the cruk loft and views beyond the farm buildings to the sea.
Not so private as our other rooms but the guest lounge and reception
full of books are below. Colour TV
Stable
(ground floor, Victorian bathroom ensuite) Above the stable , this
oak beamed bedroom is creatively furnished with a splendid canopied
king-size bed. There is a small room ideal for a young adult. Step
to toofed, slate patio which overlooks fields and sea. colour T.V.
